Advent and Christmas used to celebrate the coming and birth of our saviour. Then the retail sector swooped in and we forgot Advent and spent two months thinking about all the gifts we wanted. Now, we can decorate our tree with glittering handguns. I don't think we can remove ourselves much more than this from the meaning of the season; using the birth of the son of God to glamorize violence. I don't know about you, but I'm not quite ready to "bust a cap in my tree."If you don't shop at Urban Outfitters, please don't start now.
